Michael B. Green retired as a senior partner of the Miller-Valentine Group and also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Private Jets, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines.
Founded in 1963, the Miller-Valentine Group was a real estate development firm with residential and commercial operations in over 15 states and employed approximately 900 people. Mr. Green was one of only three senior partners and served as a member of the firm’s Board. He was elected to these positions in 2001, when Miller-Valentine Group acquired Associated Land Group, a company Mr. Green had founded in 1987.
The residential division of Miller-Valentine included development, construction, management and leasing of a diverse product portfolio covering single and multi-family housing, lifestyle communities, condominiums, student housing, military housing and senior living. Approximately 16,000 apartment units were developed within the company’s broad range of residential product offerings. The commercial division included an equally broad range of project experience, including office, industrial, healthcare, mixed use, retail, religious, municipal, manufacturing, distribution and others. The firm had developed more than 100 million square feet overall when Mr. Green retired from the firm.
Mr. Green also served as President and CEO of Delta Private Jets, ultimately retiring as its Executive Chairman. Delta Private Jets was the charter business jet subsidiary of Delta Air Lines [NYSE: DAL]. The Company was engaged in private jet charter, jet management and an innovative jet card program launched in 2004. The company’s fleet of jets operated worldwide. In 1988, Mr. Green joined what became Comair JetExpress and served the company in various positions before being named President in 1998. Delta Air Lines acquired the company in 2000. Mr. Green then led the effort to rebrand the business Delta Private Jets serving in senior leadership roles in addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors.
Since his retirement from Miller Valentine and Delta Private Jets, Mr. Green volunteers his time with various police agencies in the tri-state area.
Mr. Green is a native of Cincinnati, where he attended public schools and the University of Cincinnati. He has served as a member of several corporate Boards. Mr. Green is married, has three children and 5 grandchildren, and resides in Indian Hill. He is a longstanding member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization), which he served as Cincinnati Chapter Chair and WPO (World President’s Organization).
